For more than three decades Alyaksandr Lukashenko is ruling Belarus. The country has still a planned economy, the secret service is called KGB, the opposition is being suppressed or lives abroad. In contrast, the country has increasingly become a big player in the IT sector over the past year. Every year, 12,000 IT students leave the universities.
